Summary: Mobile remains a top enterprise priority for IT strategy. Our Hot Vendors for 2013 are in rapidly emerging priority areas around creating apps and managing BYOD, as enterprises accelerate their efforts to put mobile strategy to work transforming their business.


2013 is a pivotal year for mobile, as enterprises shift their attention from managing devices and onto making mobile a driver of business transformation. Managing mobility is rapidly expanding its scope, and the ability to address all elements of the mobile device and app lifecycle is the new enterprise objective.

The issues abound as enterprises seek solutions to the many challenges mobility introduces, from BYOD to building apps to securing corporate data that is exposed wherever a mobile user may go. Products abound to address these challenges. Although a few integrated packages have emerged that address much of the breadth of enterprise mobile management, the solution for most businesses will be comprised of a mix of products to meet growing needs.
