Summary: Enterprise mobile security requires attention to both corporate and personally owned devices, and also to users outside the business. To get a handle on mobile security, enterprises should take action in four key areas: access, content, applications and the device itself.

Security is the number one issue enterprises must address as they undertake enterprise mobile management (EMM). A wide range of potential risks has given rise to an equally broad set of features and tools to combat them. This note provides an overall view of security issues, with a specific focus on four key areas requiring enterprise attention as a basis for EMM planning (see Figure 1).
