Aragon Cares July 2023: Cards for Hospitalized Kids
Aragon Cares is Aragon Research’s monthly activity focused on giving back to our local and surrounding communities.
For July, the Aragon Research team joined together at the office to create cards for Cards for Hospitalized Kids, an organization that sends encouraging handmade cards to Children’s Hospitals and Ronald McDonald Houses.
About Cards for Hospitalized Kids
Cards for Hospitalized Kids (CFHK) was founded in 2011 by Jen Rubino, a high school student, who brought up the organization based on her own experience of being a “hospitalized kid”, undergoing more than 20 surgeries.
Since then, CFHK has grown its reach from all 50 states to international countries, like France, Australia, and more.
How We Got Involved
The Aragon Research team completed over 20 cards! We gathered all the necessary materials, which were very simple. All we needed to get started was paper, markers, and some themed stickers to add some excitement to all the cards.
After everyone was set with their supplies, the ideas started to roll in! Some people themed their cards around our llama, dog, and shark stickers. Others themed it around animals and pop culture.
Everyone had a blast creating cards as a team and knowing it was going to help brighten the day for many kids.
How You Can Help
You can get involved by just grabbing some markers and paper to get started on constructing your very own cards! After your cards are completed, you can send them over to CFHK, where they will distribute them to the hospitals.
You can even get your family and friends involved by hosting a card-making party!
Also, If you know a child who is hospitalized and/or seriously ill, Cards for Hospitalized Kids, takes referral requests on their website.
