Aragon Research Celebrates 11 Years of Hot Vendors

Today, Aragon Research announced Part One of our 2023 Hot Vendor awards. This year marks our 11th year of doing Hot Vendors. In this blog, we look back at some of the milestones.

Aragon Research Hot Vendor: “It Is Cool To Be Hot”

“It is cool to be hot” has been our tagline since the very first Hot Vendors were announced in 2012. Each year, Aragon analysts have selected some of the hottest up-and-coming providers in technology. Many firms that were selected as Hot Vendors early in their existence have gone on to great success, including an IPO.

Hot Vendors That Had Great IPOs or Exits

Figure 1 lists a few vendors, such as Box, DocuSign, and Zoom that all IPO’d several years after being named a Hot Vendor. Suffice it to say, we pick many winners in the markets that Aragon Research covers.

Looking Ahead to 2023 Hot Vendors

The list of Hot Vendors for 2023 Part I is here. We have three more special reports coming over the summer.

This year’s list of Hot Vendors includes some from new Categories, such as Communications Automation, Co-Marketing Clouds, and Generative AI. It will also identify new or emerging providers in Collaboration and Digital Transaction Management.

Bottom Line

The Aragon Research Hot Vendor Methodology has proven to identify future market winners and we have shown that we can do it consistently over the last 11 years.

Some firms continue to try to copy what we have done but none have been able to match our level of true hot vendor identification.

Be sure to take a look at the current and upcoming hot vendor reports, including all of the cool visual research videos that summarize every Research Note that Aragon Research produces.
