Welcome to our Aragon Research Employee of the Month blog series, where we will be highlighting the notable accomplishments of our hardworking team. In this very first blog in the series, we’d like to introduce you to our February 2019 employee of the month: Elsa Perez!
Elsa joined Aragon in 2018 as an Executive Assistant, and she has already made a huge impact on our team since she’s been here. Her previous experience in events helped Aragon host a successful AR PR dinner in October 2018 and our biggest event ever in December 2018 (Aragon Transform, our annual awards ceremony).
Just last month, Elsa organized an amazing January offsite to help the team get inspired and fired-up as we planned our 2019 goals and strategies. Her colleagues describe her as positive, reliable, always professional, always willing to help and inspiring. From helping our clients schedule meetings with their lead analyst to event planning to setting up backend processes, Elsa can really do it all!
We asked her some questions to introduce you to Elsa and some of the reasons why she won Aragon Research’s Employee of the Month Award.

How would you describe yourself in three words?
“Positive, caring and detailed.”

Tells us a little bit about your role and what you do at Aragon Research.
“I am the Executive Assistant for the CEO and Lead Analyst, Jim Lundy, and the Aragon Team. My motto is: “I am here to make your life easier!” I am a pretty organized and detailed individual and I believe those traits help me keep others organized and save them time so they can focus on on more important items. If there is something I can do to make the workplace better for you, then I will do my best to do it.”

What has been one of your proudest moments or accomplishments so far at Aragon?
“There have been many proud moments for me at Aragon, but the one that stands out for me was being a part of the AR PR dinner in October. It was one of the first events that I participated in and I was really excited about meeting so many of our clients and making them feel welcomed. I also enjoyed taking pictures of everyone to document the moment and to show them how much fun it is to work with Aragon Research!”

What is the most rewarding part of your job?
“Making a positive impact on a person’s work life because if they are happy at work, then they take that positive attitude home to their family and everyone is happy.”

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
“Outside of work, I love to scrapbook. Scrapbooking gives me an excuse to spend time with my girlfriends and relish the memories I have built with my family and friends.”

What inspires you?
“Family inspires me. I have had a lot of loss over the past five years and have learned that life is short, so I like to be around family and build as many positive memories as I can. When family and friends think of me, I want them to feel like the good stuff that I brought to the table outweighed anything bad I may have done.”

Anything else you would like to share?
“I am not a perfect person, but I pride myself in learning from my mistakes and I try hard not to make the same mistakes twice. So, if I ask you a lot of questions, please be patient with me as I learn my way around a situation.”
