July Aragon Cares Activity
This month, we are helping feed hungry families in Santa Clara County through a canned food drive held by Sacred Heart Community Service. This month each employee brought in pop-top cans and other packaged food items to donate. Our goal, as a team, was to collect at least 50 food cans and we were able to surpass that! No child or family should go to bed hungry and we are so proud to help feed our community.

Sacred Heart Community Service
Sacred Heart Community Service was founded in 1964 and has been giving back to Santa Clara county ever since. Their mission is “to build a community free from poverty by creating hope, opportunity, and action. We provide essential services, work together to improve our lives, organize for justice, and inspire our community to love, serve, and share.”
Sacred Heart does more than canned food drives! They have a diverse leadership staff that looks into the needs of the community every 2 years to reevaluate where to focus their efforts. They want to make sure they are implementing services, programs, and public policy work that will make the greatest impact and to ensure the community’s voice is being heard.

Background on Aragon Cares
As we move forward, let’s take a quick look back.
Here at Aragon Research, we believe that giving back is an important part of growing as a company, which is why we give back to our community every month through Aragon Cares activities.
In the past, we have participated in blood drives, gathered items for local animal shelters and food pantries, cooked hot meals for families staying in the Stanford Ronald McDonald House, and much more. We have found our monthly donation activities to be very rewarding and a great way to bond as a team, and we can’t wait to continue them far in the future.
