September Aragon Cares: California Fire Foundation

By Amy Townsend

Aragon Research’s headquarters are located in Northern California – a location that’s commonly threatened by wildfires. According to fire.ca.gov, a whopping 10.1 million acres were burned in 2020, and, as of September 19th, a total of 2,318,591 acres have been burned in 2021.

California’s firefighters have definitely been challenged over the past few years. In recognition of their hard work and dedication, Aragon Research chose to donate to the California Fire Foundation for our September Aragon Cares activity.

For our September Aragon Cares activity, we donated to the California Fire Foundation.

What is the California Fire Foundation?

The California Fire Foundation provides critical support to surviving families of fallen firefighters, firefighters, and the communities they serve. Donations to this nonprofit will help commemorate fallen heroes, offer scholarships to children of fallen firefighters, provide aid to victims of fire or other natural disasters, and provide fire safety resources to underserved communities across California.

This nonprofit is owned and operated by California Professional Firefighters. With a membership of more than 30,000, California Professional Firefighters (CPF) is the largest statewide organization dedicated exclusively to serving the needs of career firefighters. It is one of the nation’s strongest and most influential public employee organizations.

They serve the community by offering:

California Professional Firefighters derives its strength from more than 175 local affiliates, representing around 30,000 front-line firefighters and paramedics. CPF services are directed to members through the leadership of these local affiliates.

Our Donation

Through donating to the California Fire Foundation, we know that we are helping provide resources to firefighters, their families, and the communities they serve. We are so thankful to our firefighters for helping battle these wildfires.
