PCMC stands for Predictive, Content, Mobile, and Collaboration. We strongly believe these four topics are poised to be killer industry disruptives starting now. These topics form the essential platforms of our PCMC Conference, which will be held in San Diego from March 8th to 11th in 2015. In this blog post, I’m highlighting predictive. Predictive is the current holy grail of business. The technology not only allows you to work faster, but it is efficient enough to comb through the minutiae to bring you specific, targeted results. Let me explain how this relates to you and your enterprise.
Predictive means what you think it means: forecasting future outcomes that have not yet occurred. When it comes to business, its meaning essentially stays the same. According to Jim Lundy, predictive applications have the ability to “recognize human or machine patterns and make relevant recommendations in context.”
This is a huge benefit to you. Predictive applications save you time when searching for prospects or people to hire. The future-oriented applications can directly pinpoint a myriad of candidates who meet a certain threshold of qualifications and requirements based on data you have previously used or currently use.
Yet the applications go beyond that by conjuring results that have not yet occurred. Predictive applications allow you to get your work done faster because you’re saving research time. It means turning John Doe from a prospect into a client long before your competitor even knows who he is.
