We have said this before, the best move Apple has made in recent years is to break free of the Intel chipsets that were powering its Macbooks.

Apple Breaks Free of Intel
Apple faced a big dilemma over the last five years. Macbook introductions kept getting delayed due to Intel’s delays in delivering its new chipsets. The Macbook Air and Macbook Pro were very popular, but the PC market is very competitive.
When Apple finally made the move to the M1 Processor, the market was a little surprised. But, they should not have been. After all, the iPhone with its non-Intel Arm Design was a winner because of Apple’s annual introduction.
New Macbook Air
Apple features the introduction of the M2 Processor – only a year and a half after the M1 Processor started shipping. Apple dubbed down and introduced the Macbook Air with the M2.
Why M1 and M2 – Speed and Video
The M-Series processors were very fast and they don’t heat up when playing videos. Apple is now refreshing its MacBook and iPad Pro units at a quicker pace. It is the fact that Apple can plan its products, including the timing of the chip delivery, that is making the difference.
