Our client was a state government organization in the public sector. With the annual revenue of more than $30 Billion, they played an important role in the state's growth and development. One of their biggest challenges was the lack of comprehensive mobile strategy for central IT and for their multiple agencies around the state. They had previously worked with a large global consulting firm to solve this problem. However, the solutions that the consulting firm delivered were considered incomplete and ineffective.

How Aragon Helped

Aragon analysts were brought in to develop a strategy and roll-out plan for end-to-end mobile enablement. This roll-out plan included the inauguration of complete policy templates for the usage and governance of mobile devices, mobile services, and mobile applications. On top of that, our analysts also facilitated the process of creating the mobile app development policies and procedures.

After the mobile enablement strategy had been deployed, we conducted a training session to the state’s IT departments on best practices for mobile app development. To continue to drive innovation, we initiated and held multiple mobile app ideation sessions to teach business leaders the fundamentals of a mobile app. Then, we guided them to self discover potential mobile apps that would help different agencies serve both associates and constituents.

With Aragon’s support, the client was able to develop and deploy an effective, comprehensive mobile strategy. We helped our client save an estimated $1 Million by preventing each agency from having to develop their own policies and procedures.

The IT department learned the best practices for mobile app development and ongoing management within each agency. And, the business leaders acquired the knowledge of how mobile apps operate, and how to develop new mobile apps that saved time and increased productivity for routine procedures  inside specific agencies.
