March 2023 Aragon Cares: International Women’s Day
Aragon Cares is Aragon Research’s monthly activity focused on giving back to our local and surrounding communities.
For March, the Aragon Research team is gearing up for our 5K run for International Women’s Day hosted by Virtual Run Events.
The proceeds of this run will go to Dress for Success, an organization that empowers women to achieve economic independence through providing professional training and attire.
About Virtual Run Events
This is not the first time the Aragon Research team has participated in a run with Virtual Run Events. Back in 2020, the team participated in two of their runs, Stomp Out Cancer in February and the Great Toilet Paper Chase in May.
Virtual Run Events was started in 2015 because of the four founder’s love for running. Their organization began from an idea to get everyone out and moving but also contribute to great causes at the same time!
They host races every month each with a theme and organization that the proceeds of the race supports. In partnership with their sister site, Moon Joggers, they have raised more than $900K for many organizations around the world.
About Dress for Success
Dress for Success’ mission is to “empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.”
The nonprofit organization started in 1997, and it spread across the globe with their network reaching 143 cities in 23 countries. Dress for Success’ work has helped more than 1.3 million women work towards self-sufficiency.
How We Are Participating for International Women’s Day
After we registered and signed up for the International Women’s Day race on Virtual Run Events, we shortly received our running bibs and medals!

How You Can Participate
- The Virtual Run Events race for Women’s International Day is still up; you can sign up and participate all through March.
- Another option is to support Dress for Success directly by donating clothes, supporting them financially, and even volunteering with them!
- Nominate a Women-In-Tech in your life for our 2023 Women-In-Technology Awards this month!
