Meridian Knowledge Solution’s New Secret Weapon

By Jim Lundy

Meridian Knowledge Solutions has been in the Learning market for a long time and recently they made a major move that for some went unnoticed, but not with us. Industry Veteran Jeff Kristick was appointed President of Meridian in January. This blog post is about Jeff’s latest move and how it will benefit Meridian and its customers.

Jeff Kristick is the new President of Meridian Knowledge Solutions.

Jeff Kristick: Plateau, SuccessFactors, and Oracle

I’ve known Jeff for many years, going all the way back to Plateau Systems where he helped drive overall marketing. After SuccessFactors bought Plateau, Jeff helped to drive sales of Learning in the combined entities. After a short stint at Oracle as head if the Human Capital Management unit, Jeff moved on to his current role.

To say that Jeff is battle tested is an understatement. He has served in major roles in three of the top Talent/HCM providers and has had success at all of them. Jeff is the real deal—he is someone you can trust when he gives you his word.

Focus Is on Product and Customers

In each of Jeff’s roles, he has been focused on the customer, which is one of the reasons that Plateau and SuccessFactors excelled. With a strong background in all things marketing, we know that this will bring a laser focus on what is already a solid Learning offering from Meridian.

The other focus we know will happen is a focus on the customer. This focus served him well in all of his roles and at firms such as Tibco and Siebel Systems and it will serve him well at Meridian both with public sector and commercial enterprises.

The Benefit to Meridian

Jeff brings both experience and leadership to Meridian. His arrival will allow Meridian to attract new talent, which in turn should allow them to focus more both on marketing and sales. We know many Meridian customers—the product does the job and delivers the learning that an enterprise needs. Customers may not know Jeff yet, but that should change fast.

The bottomline is Jeff Kristick arrived at Meridian at the right time for them to scale. It was a shrewd move for Meridian, and we expect to see and hear more from them with Jeff at the helm.
