Special Report: The Aragon Research Technology Arcs™ for 2015 (part 1)

Aragon’s Technology Arcs help our clients evaluate the maturity and market impact of many technologies in the workplace. They are designed to let planners identify important technologies, choose the ones to monitor, determine their potential benefits, and decide when to invest in them and how to use them.

Tech Arcs segment technologies into three sequential degrees of maturity: emerge, adopt and mature. Emerging technologies may be curiosities, or disruptive innovations that will change paradigms in the future. Adoptive technologies have proved useful, and are now being instantiated in products and services that enterprises need to take note of. Mature technologies are now being standardized or commoditized, with multiple vendors in play, and even late adopters have to address them.

The Aragon Research Technology Arc for the Digital Workplace, 2015

The first of our six Tech Arcs for 2015 is a “master” Tech Arc that covers all aspects of the enterprise. This third edition features 16 new technology profiles and updates to 37 others, many of which have moved since 2014. This is a broad-spectrum look at the technical ecosystem that underlies the modern workplace.

The Aragon Research Technology Arc for Collaboration, 2015

Our second Tech Arc for 2015 focuses on the communication and collaboration infrastructure that permeates the enterprise and enables nearly all business processes. It features 15 technologies specific to collaboration, plus special drill-down profiles for 19 more with direct operational connections to the collaboration domain.

The Aragon Research Technology Arc for Sales and Marketing, 2015

Rounding out Part 1 of our 2015 release is a new Tech Arc focused on the key business processes of sales and marketing. This first edition profiles 34 technologies that are important to sales and marketing organizations, including some domain-specific technologies that do not appear on any other Tech Arc. It is being published to business leaders in our BIZTEX service.
