Transform Tour Q&A with CEO Jim Lundy

The Aragon Research Transform Tour is stopping in Redwood City, CA on April 16th, 2019 and Boston, MA on May 2nd, 2019. You’re invited to join Aragon Research analysts for these complimentary events as they provide strategic insights for business leaders to lower the risk of digital business investments and improve the success of their digital business strategy.

Attendees can request an invite to attend the complimentary Transform Tour Redwood City and Transform Tour Boston. Aragon clients can register by contacting their Account Executive.

We sat down with CEO Jim Lundy to discuss what the Transform Tour is all about, how it’s focused on mitigating the challenges of digital business, and what you stand to gain if you attend.

Question 1: When it comes to digital business challenges, what questions do you get asked the most?

Many times when talking to enterprises about their challenges they often mention their competitors, and what their competitors are doing. That often leads to a discussion about how digital their enterprise is and what’s holding them back from becoming a true digital business. Sometimes it’s the basics: like a better customer experience on mobile or signing contracts electronically, and often it’s culture, where there is a lack of willingness to change.

Question 2: What qualities does a business leader need to have to successfully run a digital business?

The first characteristic is recognizing that the world of business is changing and that the old ways of doing things are not going to stand the test of time. Business leaders are also increasingly realizing that technology can help them win the race to digital—not hurt them. They’re pushing harder to leverage technology to gain an advantage. We often see the COO, CDO, or even the CEO leading the digital transformation charge.

Question 3: What are some of the digital business trends or technologies that CEOs, CIOs, and other business and IT leaders need to be aware of?

One of the key trends is streamlining the customer journey. Getting different business units to work together to improve the customer experience is one of the biggest challenges that CEOs face, as well as choosing which technologies can help to improve the customer journey. A simple thing such as a new native mobile app experience can transform an entire industry. QuickenLoans has done this in the US with its Rocket Mortgage mobile application.

Question 4: What digital business challenges and questions is Transform Tour aiming to answer?

We’re certainly going to discuss how intelligence and automation can help enterprises win the battle for the customer. We’re also going to be dispelling some of the myths of digital business to help enterprises focus more on what really works—from the right technologies to approaches. Finally, we’re going to have panels where business leaders can discuss what they see happening and what is working for them.

Question 5: What will a business leader gain from the content at Transform Tour? Why should they attend?

Our Transform Tour is about sharing thought leadership and practical best practices. Business and IT leaders will have the opportunity to talk with Aragon analysts and with other attendees since there’s plenty of time for informal networking. We’ll also be offering a select number of private one on ones, so attendees can get to know some of the Aragon analysts.

Thank you for sharing your insights, Jim.
