Cloud Content Management

Content management is at a crossroads, as more content is being accessed and shared on mobile devices than ever before. The focus has been on sharing files, but cloud content management—what used to be referred to as mobile content management (MCM)—goes further to look at the spectrum of content and how it can be managed in the cloud, on mobile devices, and even on-premise. This means that it goes beyond file sync and sharing.

While cloud content management is a trend, enterprises have been slow to migrate existing content repositories, and for good reason: security. Security is a must-have set of capabilities and Aragon believes that content theft remains an issue that needs to be addressed in the enterprise.

As adoption of mobile content management services grows, Aragon expects new content storage to be done in the cloud.
