Decision Management

Decision management is comprised of frameworks, methods, and technologies that take insight to action to deliver desirable outcomes for the circumstances at hand while delivering strategy without violating governance constraints. Decision management operates at all levels—including strategic, tactical, and operational—to choose the right action or non-action in a set of emergent conditions.

The decision management platform supports common decision cycles and decision journeys by leveraging a combination of decision component data (metadata), pointers, and technological capabilities in optimal ways for each decision journey.

Decision management is still relatively new as a category and technology providers often offer the functionality within a larger product framework or suite.
