Analyst Relations
Analyst relations refers to a corporation's strategy for interaction and communication with independent research and consulting firms. Larger corporations often have a person or team of people dedicated to managing analyst relations. Analyst relations teams are responsible for outreach to industry analysts as well as managing the relationship with them over time. They often participate in briefings and interviews with analysts and discuss logistics and finances of doing business with them.
Corporations maintain analyst relations to gain advice from analysts that will help their businesses grow and compete within their market. The reason for seeking analyst advice varies from corporation to corporation, but typically involves strategy, investments, and other decision-making processes. Analysts are able to provide insight, identify trends, and make predictions.
