Issue: Who are the collaboration providers and how will they evolve?
Summary: People want more choice in real-time collaboration and communication and the 2013 Hot Vendors are delivering on that request.
There is a need in the enterprise for better ways to collaborate,
particularly when it comes to real-time collaboration and
communications. Inconsistent delivery and lack of openness by
established providers is creating an opening for newer providers
that are doing things differently, either through the capabilities
they deliver or the promise of a better and more reliable
experience.
With tablet computing here and the increased ability to deliver
voice and video collaboration as a workplace capability or for
specific use cases, our 2013 Hot Vendors are paving the way
toward new choices for small and large enterprises alike.
