Aragon Research, Inc. (“Aragon Research”) is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information while using our website and related support services. Aragon Research has therefore established this Privacy and Cookie Policy to assist you to understand how Aragon Research collects and uses personally identifiable information.

By continuing to use our website or related support services, you agree that we can store and access cookies and other tracking technologies (such as web beacons, pixels, clear gifs, and other similar technologies), and agree to the collection and use of personal information as described in this Privacy and Cookie Policy.

What Are Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies?

A cookie or other tracking technology is a small piece of data (a text file) that is stored on and accessed by your device while you are browsing our website, to the extent you agree. The purpose of cookies and other tracking technologies is that they allow us to monitor your website activity and collect information about how you use our website, for example, what pages you visit. This helps us to better understand your interests and optimize our website to improve your experience.

What Information Do Cookies Collect?

Cookies and other tracking technologies recognize the visitor’s domain name, browser type, operating system, referring domains, entry page, exit page, and average time on the website. This information is used for internal Aragon Research purposes only, to help us improve our website, understand trends pertaining to our website, and better understand our visitors’ needs.

Can I Opt Out of Cookies?

Yes. You may refuse to accept browser cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your browser. However, if you select this setting, you may be unable to access certain parts of our website. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when you direct your browser to our sites.

The data collected by our website and/or through cookies that may be placed on your computer will not be kept for longer than is necessary to fulfill the purposes mentioned above.

Website Data Collection Overview

Aragon Research may use first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to manage our site and services, collect analytics about how you use them, identify you and best understand your needs and interests, and to continually improve and optimize our website to meet those needs. The information provided throughout this Privacy and Cookie Policy about cookies also applies to these other tracking technologies.

Our website does not collect personal data about your online activities over time and across third-party websites or online services.

Personal Data Collection Overview

If you choose to receive company or product information, you will need to complete our online request forms. The online forms provide site visitors with an opportunity to request free product downloads and demos, view Aragon Research notes, register for free Aragon Research online seminars, and enroll for various services. These forms may request information such as:

  • Your name
  • Company name
  • Email address
  • Company or mailing or billing address
  • Phone number

Or other information to help us determine and respond to your needs related to the products and/or services requested. All information provided by the visitor is voluntary.

We may also collect information such as:

  • Internet or network device data

We use this information to send updates about our company and our products and to contact you if requested or necessary. We also use the demographic information you provide on these forms in connection with studies and reports regarding our website, such as website usage patterns, in order to better understand the needs of visitors to our website. We will not, however, associate any personally identifiable information which you provide with the information in these studies and reports.

We do not collect your email addresses without your express permission. You may voluntarily provide us with this information (via our online information request forms, whitepaper request form, webinar forms, and other website forms and surveys). We will periodically use your email to communicate with you and will send emails to this address related to your registration. By signing up for Aragon Research forms, whitepapers, or requests for information, you agree to receive the correspondence to which you have subscribed at the email address that you provided at registration. If you decide you no longer wish to receive marketing email from us in the future, you may choose to opt out at any time.

Use of Information

The personal data we collect may be used where we have your consent to do so (for example, sending you an email about content you might be interested in) or where Aragon Research has a legitimate interest in or other legal basis for processing such information. In some situations, the collection of personal data may be required for the operation of the website or to provide certain services or products.

Aragon Research uses your personal data to fulfill your requests for information, process your requests to participate in conferences and events, personalize content that you view or receive, enhance and optimize our services, distribute newsletters and emails to you, recruit and evaluate job applicants, analyze the website’s performance and functioning, enforce our terms of use, comply with all applicable laws and corporate reporting obligations, enforce Aragon Research’s agreements, and accomplish other purposes you may initiate or request. We may keep any of your personal data on file and use it to contact you.

Client Data

While Aragon Research has implemented a variety of generally accepted standards of technology and security measures, clients are responsible for maintaining the security of their individual user logins to the Yammer community.

Aragon Research has implemented a variety of generally accepted standards of technology and security measures. We have employed the appropriate physical, administrative, and technical safeguards to protect against the loss or unauthorized use, alteration or disclosure of, or unauthorized access to, the personal information under our control. Only authorized Aragon Research personnel have access to this information and have been trained on and are required to  maintain the security and confidentiality of such information, using it only for the purposes described in this Privacy and Cookie Policy.

Other than as expressly described in this Privacy and Cookie Policy, we will not share personally identifiable information with anyone outside of Aragon Research without your prior permission unless we believe in good faith that such release is reasonably necessary to (i) comply with applicable law, (ii) enforce the terms of any of our user agreements, or (iii) protect the rights, property or safety of Aragon Research, our visitors, or others. Upon request submitted to info@aragonresearch.com, Aragon Research will provide website visitors at no cost with access to their personal information that we have on record and the ability to complete, update, or remove such information.

The Aragon Research website may provide links to third-party websites for your convenience and information. If you access those links, you will leave the Aragon Research website. Aragon Research does not control these third-party sites or their privacy practices, which may differ from Aragon Research. We do not endorse or make any representations about third-party websites. The personal data you choose to give to unrelated third parties is not covered by this Privacy and Cookie Policy.

In the event your personal information is acquired, or is reasonably believed to have been acquired, by an unauthorized person, and applicable law requires notification to you by Aragon Research, Aragon Research will notify you of such breach promptly by email, fax, or U.S. mail, as permitted by law and consistent with the reasonable investigatory needs of law enforcement and/or Aragon Research.

Data Retention

Aragon Research retains personal data, as necessary, for the duration of the relevant business relationship. We may also retain personal data for longer than the duration of the business relationship should we need to retain it to protect ourselves against legal claims, use it for analysis or historical record-keeping, or comply with our information management policies and schedules.

If you request that we delete your personal data, Aragon Research will make reasonable attempts to delete all instances of the information in their entirety.

Children

The Aragon Research website is not designed for or marketed to children 13 years of age or younger. Aragon Research does not intentionally collect or maintain personal data about anyone under this age.

Choice/Opt-Out, Consent Withdrawal, and Updating Information

If you receive marketing or similar email messages from us and wish to opt out of receiving such messages, you may simply follow the opt-out procedure specified in such email by clicking on the unsubscribe button at the bottom of any of our emails. You may also choose to withdraw your consent from any use of and/or retention of your data by submitting our Consent Withdrawal form that can also be found in any of our email messages. We will then delete all of your data from our systems and cease all communications.

Your Rights

Where granted by local law, you may have the right to request access to the personal data that we have collected about you for the purposes of reviewing, modifying, or requesting deletion of the data. You may also have the right to request a copy of the personal data that we have collected about you and to have any inaccuracies in that data corrected. In certain circumstances, you may also request that we cease processing your personal data.

To help protect your privacy and security, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity, before granting access to your personal data.

Notification of Privacy and Cookie Policy Changes

Aragon Research may amend this Privacy and Cookie Policy from time to time. If Aragon Research decides to make material changes in the way we use your personal information, we will post the changes on this page so that you will always know what information we collect, how it is used, and when and how it will be disclosed. Your use of the Aragon Research website following notice of such change will be deemed acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy, which may include application of the new policy to information provided prior to the date of such change.

California Privacy Rights & Notes of Collection

Aragon Research has provided California residents with additional information regarding how we collect, use, and share your “personal information” (as defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”)), according to California law. 

Categories of personal information: as stated under the Personal Data Collection Overview section, we may collect information such as:

  • your name
  • company name
  • email address
  • company or personal address,
  • phone number

Or other information to help us determine and respond to your needs related to the products and/or services requested, such as providing you with research, ebooks, webinars, sending you swag kits in the mail, and more. All information provided by the visitor is voluntary.

We may also collect information such as:

  • Internet or network device data

Use of categories of personal information: we may disclose the categories of personal information identified above for our operational purposes where the use is reasonably necessary and proportionate to achieve the operational purpose for which it was collected or processed, or for another compatible operational purpose.

Sale of Personal Information: the CCPA has outlined clear obligations for businesses that “sell” personal information. Based on the definition of “sell” under the CCPA and under current regulatory guidance, we do not engage in such activity and have not engaged in such activity in the past twelve months (including that we do not “sell” the personal information of minors under 16 years of age). We do share certain information as previously stated in the Use of Information section. We allow third parties to collect certain information about your activity, for example through cookies, as explained in this privacy and cookie policy. 

Individual Rights: California law may provide you with certain rights and permit you to request the following:

  • Provide you the categories of personal information we have collected or disclosed about you in the last twelve months; the categories of sources of such information; the business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling your personal information; and the categories of third parties with whom we shared personal information.
  • Provide access to and/or a copy of certain information we hold about you.
  • Delete certain information we have about you.

You may have the right to receive information about the financial incentives that we offer to you (if any). You also have the right to not be discriminated against (as provided for in applicable law) for exercising certain of your rights. Certain information may be exempt from such requests under applicable law. For example, we need certain types of information so that we can provide the services and/or information to you and for compliance with applicable law. If you ask us to delete certain information, in compliance with our Consent Withdrawal policy, you may no longer be able to access or use the services or information.

California Online Privacy Protection Act Notice Concerning Do Not Track Signals

Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a privacy preference that users can set in certain web browsers. We do not recognize or respond to browser-related DNT signals, as the industry is currently working toward a common approach to responding to DNT. 

Nevada Privacy Rights

Certain Nevada consumers, per Nevada law, have the ability to opt out of the “sale” of “personally identifiable information” as such terms are defined under Nevada law. We do not engage in such activity; however, if you are a Nevada resident who has purchased goods or services from us, you may submit a request to opt out of any potential future sales under Nevada law by emailing info@aragonresearch.com. Once verified, we will maintain your request in the event our practices change.
