User Experience and Portals

Issues: What are the best practices for harnessing the power of mobile computing?

What trends are affecting how information is presented to users?

Summary: After decades with little innovation in user experience, touch and voice interfaces for mobile devices have created new priorities for software. Natural and intuitive user experiences are as essential as feature and function, and redefine how people interact with IT resources and processes.

One of the key drivers in the proliferation of smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices is innovation in the user experience. Computing is becoming far more intuitive and accessible than ever. The user experience is being redefined, with touch providing a foundation for more engaging systems, and voice poised to accelerate this momentum. Enterprises need to focus on user experience as new systems are implemented, with touch and voice creating new priorities.
