Summary

Ideally, digital transformation should have several paths of achievement and endeavor. In 2017, robotic process automation (RPA) is experiencing accelerated growth, and is on the path to deliver quick-hit productivity while it evolves to become more intelligent, build more technical partnerships, take on wider scopes, and implement more automation. This level of ever-improving productivity can be accomplished in parallel with strategic digital business efforts that will likely require a broader technology platform, such as the digital business platform (DBP).

What has not been clear to date, however, is what path to take with RPA and how it will evolve in its use cases and capabilities. Understanding the likely growth path for RPA is essential for digital success.
