Digital Transaction Management (DTM) Asset Management

Digital transaction management (DTM) asset management goes beyond records management and digital transaction management to track transaction-related documents at a greater level of fidelity. This is where we see the need to manage those documents themselves as assets. Key features of DTM asset management include:

  • tracking activity around a document.
  • allowing third parties to review a document.
  • transferring a document as part of an asset sale.

The common critical factor is that when a document is tied to a physical or financial asset, the document itself must be managed and tracked as an asset. Only a few technology providers currently focus on DTM asset management.
