People.ai Shifts to AI-Based Revenue Intelligence
by Jim Lundy and Samra Anees
On March 18, People.ai announced its AI-based Revenue Intelligence System (RIS), which codifies and brands its mission and what it has been doing for its customers. This blog discusses some of the recent moves by People.ai.
What is Revenue Intelligence?
Revenue Intelligence is an emerging category that People.ai recently coined. Revenue Intelligence is about using AI to simplify the process of making sales and marketing more intelligent. People.ai’s RIS tracks customer activity, updates the CRM, and uses data to produce insights and next best steps. This platform aims to drive productivity and efficiency for the accelerated growth of enterprises and offers a more intelligent and effective method of sales automation.
Early results indicate that People.ai is making a difference with their customers because of the goal of “faster time to revenue.” The other reason is that enterprises are looking for alternatives to Salesforce Einstein.
Increasing Intelligence in Marketing
People.ai also isn’t slowing down. This week they also introduced Campaign 360, which is intended to bring a better understanding of the impact of marketing campaigns and their impact on deals. While Campaign 360 has some overlap with a traditional marketing automation offering, what People.ai brings to the table is more understanding of what is happening with things such as lead hand-offs from marketing to sales, which is often where the dropoff occurs.
The Race to the Intelligent Enterprise
While AI in sales has been talked about for the last several years by the likes of Salesforce, People.ai has been winning customers due to the results that its platform delivers. There is much more to come in the intelligent enterprise, but sales is increasingly becoming a larger tech stack. Sales teams that need to produce faster and more consistent results need to look into what Revenue Intelligence can do for them.
