They’re calling this the quiet era:
- First, there was quiet quitting,
- Then, quiet firing,
- and now, quiet hiring.
There’s no doubt that the workplace looks a lot differently than it did a couple of years ago and this includes company culture. As a result, new workplace terms are popping up left and right.
What is Quiet Hiring?
It’s actually the opposite of quiet quitting–a term coined and popularized on TikTok:
“The term “quiet quitting” emerged during COVID and employees found clever ways to do the minimum amount of work to get by. Hence the term “quiet quitting,” says Aragon Research CEO, Jim Lundy.
