Salesforce Announces Pricing for SalesGPT and ServiceGPT
Salesforce, not to be outdone by Microsoft’s pricing announcements at their Microsoft Inspire Partner conference announced their pricing for SalesGPT and ServiceGPT. This blog discusses the details of the Salesforce pricing announcement.
Sales GPT Requires Einstein Sales Cloud
For Salesforce, SalesforceGPT for Sales will be available for customers that have Einstein Sales Cloud enabled. Initially, only enterprises that have Unlimited Edition will be able to use SalesGPT and will get a limited number of credits.
Many buyers are not aware of the requirement to get Einstein so see Figure 1 below:
Service Cloud Pricing
ServiceGPT is also included in Service Cloud Einstein, which costs $50/user/month and it also includes a limited number of EinsteinGPT Credits. We suspect that due to the volume of interactions usage for ServiceGPT will be higher than Sales Cloud, except SDRs.
What Does ServiceGPT Actually Do?
Enterprises get Service Replies/responses, that helps an agent decide what to say to reply to a customer. This is compelling and is a form of Agent Coaching, which is highly sought after in Contact Centers. They also are offering Work Summaries as part of the initial offering. Other ‘applications’ will come later this year.
What Are Expansion Packs?
Sales and Service Cloud users get a limited number of credits to use the SalesGPT and ServiceGPT capabilities. Details of how many credits are available out of the box and how many credits enterprises get with expansion packs are still TBD.
Analysis: Salesforce Is Running Out of Room on Pricing
Our take on Salesforce is first – at 200 and 300 per user per month, Salesforce runs the risk of alienating its customers partially because Salesforce is announcing a price increase in August:
- Professional Edition goes from $75 to $80 per user/month ($5 increase)
- Enterprise Edition goes from $150 to $165 per user/month (a $15 increase)
- Unlimited Edition goes from $300 to $300 per user/month (a $30 increase)
Bottom Line
Salesforce didn’t waste any time in announcing their pricing within 24 hours of when Microsoft announced their copilot pricing for Microsoft 365. There are still some unknowns on expansion packs and quite frankly enterprises probably can’t make it decision to deploy it until they know the total costs. We advise enterprises to ask Salesforce what the costs are for extra credits for Sales GPT and Service GPT.
