I’ve been rather busy the past month getting several new research pieces out on business transformation/tPaaS and the impacts of AI on businesses. I am excited to share these with you.
How You Must Prepare for Digital Labor
I recently released two notes on digital labor, and more specifically how to prepare for the rapid adoption of digital labor, including:

The key takeaways from these two pieces are that you need to prepare now for the increased use and impact of AI and digital labor because it is coming fast. And if you’ve been a bit lax about metrics, governance, guidance, usage policies and principles in the past, you could get really impacted by the rapid adoption of AI and digital labor.
AI and digital labor are as much about people, business, processes, business ecosystem and information as they are about technology. Organizations must use good architecture practices and focus on your business’s future state, and then define AI guidance that supports and enables that future-state.

Because AI technologies were moving so fast, we took a completely new approach to this Technology Arc. We explored all the new terms, practices, concepts, and technologies emerging in AI and prioritized the ones we thought were the most important for our clients.
There are a ton of new AI terms and technologies. You may note with this new Technology Arc there are a lot of terms and technologies at the emerging phase of this diagram. This is because we wanted to focus on the newest and most transformational terms that you need to know – now.
Business Transformation
We also released two new notes on business transformation and the Transformation Platform as a Service (tPaaS) market.
We are releasing a new RFP for tPaaS services (tPaaS RFP Toolkit). This piece will provide a downloadable toolkit that you can use with providers to gather information and decide on which tPaaS service is best for your needs and budgets. This toolkit will also provide a comprehensive set of questions and specifications on the business, technology and consulting services needed to support business transformation services.
Last but certainly not least, we released The Aragon Research Technology Arc for Digital Business, 2023 (Aragon Research Technology Arc for Digital Business). The terms, technologies and practices on this Tech Arc are much more mature. However, understanding their value, maturity, providers, and impact is critical for supporting digital business transformation.
